Day 6
Silence
I can’t remember all the times
that I have sat in silence.
Silent tears, Silent sobs.
The silence can be deafening
when you are all alone.
No one to turn to.
Silent is the way my heart feels
too much pain has filled it up.
Silent are my eyes to the agony
of tears that need to fall.
Silent are my ears
To the call of silence in my soul.
I live in silence
It is all that I know.
I remember music
Music that filled my heart
Music that was so beautiful
I rejoiced!
Where is the music now?
I stand in the silence
I want it to go
Hopefully,
someday,
The silence
will be gone.

We all live in silence in our lives.
Hopefully now your silence is now gone.
Such a sad poem of silence. I hope there are choices besides the silence all the time. I know just giving voice in poetry to the silence is a good
thing.

I agree with vivinfrance. It is too sad to be comforting, but I never though a poem was meant to comfort. It’s meant to take us somewhere, and you took me right there. Nicely written.
Another great post. Thanks for sharing this. Spending time sitting down to writing short stories and poems is something I truly enjoy in life. I enjoy reading your blog very much.
