I’ve felt a lovers kiss
upon my lips. Tender arms
hold me tight.
but I do not know what love is.
I have had two kids.
Don’t know what love is.
I have been kissed and choked
in the name of love.
I have been beat. kisses on my feet.
But don’t ask me what love is.
I’ve hid knifes when I laid at night
All in the name of love.
I have lived in Lies
and under hooded eyes.
All in the name of love.
Can you tell me?
For……
I’ve felt a lovers kiss uopn my lips
but I don’t know what love is.

again, delving into my past.

I am glad that things are different now =)
I think this is in the past brave Luna.
I think a certain person’s love for you has opened your heart.
Some of us come to that knowledge of love later in life. Some think they know what it is when they don’t. This is a great share, well written.
The narrator knows something I don’t. Candid stuff!
It’s brave of you to share this!!
Very clearly and coldly told without an overabundance of gory detail. None needed, really for thos who’ve been there, or are there. Brave write.
Wow, this is horrific. I hope you know now, like I, what love isn’t.

Thankfully I do.
i write so other’s who might be going through what I went through, Know that they are not alone.
Well done…I expect that many people do not know what love is. I do know that our main life lesson is to learn how to give and receive unconditional love. I also know that love is never abusive! Thank you for your honest poem…we would do well to think a great deal about this! hugs, pat
