Being loney kills the soul. We can be in a room full of people, yet, still be very much alone. You captured this feeling so well with this prose.

Luna! I’m so glad you are able to express your loneliness – it’s important to tell people that you are in need. A lot of times our friends are busy and wrapped up in their own needs and the demands of their lives to know intuitively that they are needed by a lonely friend. It happens to me – from both sides. I’ve learned that if I need a friend, I often need to tell them, and reach out. My friends are always ready and willing to reach back and embrace. By the same token, I often need to be asked by a friend to give them the attention and love they crave and need. I can be dense – we all can – at times, and don’t always know.
That’s why what you say about just calling a friend is such a good idea. You never know when that call might make the difference for that friend between a day of despair or a day of comfort.
As a personal note to you. I’m here. As you can tell, I’m always ready and willing to dole out conversation, advice (when asked for – and sometimes when not 😀 – ), and consolation. Please don’t hesitate to send me an e-mail! I’ll even call you on the phone if you like! I just need your number!
Take good care of yourself, keep writing your wonderful, thoughtful poetry! You do us all some good! I wish you enough. . .
