I sing of sorrow
in my lonely land
I sing of sorrow
no one ever understands.
~
I sing of sorrow
when I am all alone
I sing of sorrow
now that my children are grown.
~
I sing of sorrow
that I lost my friends
I sing of sorrow
that there is no one that I can depend
~
I sing of sorrow.
~
I sing of sorrow.
~
I sing of sorrow
even though I am not alone
I sing of sorrow
who to call? on the phone?
~
no one.
so I sing. sing. and sing.
I sing
Of sorrow.
and hope for a better tomorrow.
~
For all.

Very touching and hits close to home with me… *smile* Beautiful!
Beautiful!!!!! oh it’s just beautiful! 🙂
Nice word and image flow. Sad but good.

So simple and so evoking- a wonderful piece. 🙂
Very moving. Strange, but we are together in our loneliness, if that makes sense.
Reminds me of so many older people who live alone and have lost everyone. Effective use of repetition. Is there any way you can make the print visible to those of us who leave comments. No way to edit for spelling or typos.
Somehow poets are singers too… And it is so nice to find poetry associated with other forms of art!
Singing always helps– love the melody inherent in your refrain.
moving words.
well expressed..
