I am a willow tree
I bend, I do not break.
When the storm breaks over me
all I do is shake.
~
Things may not be simple
things may be hard
but all that happens
to me is….
I may be a little scared.
~
the wind whips me round and round
but I will NEVER be ripped from the ground
for you see
I AM a willow tree.
I may be bent
to the ground.

~
But no matter what happens to me
I am still beautiful
For I am a willow tree.
I may be weeping
but thats okay
because I am still beautiful
in my own way.
~
I am a willow tree
I bend I do not break.
When the storm breaks over me
all I do is shake
my branches may get ripped apart
but new ones grow in.
~
some might call me a marshmallow
but those people do not know
that because I am a willow
my skin can withstand the snow.
~
I am a willow
I am beautiful
I am strong
I will make it
somehow.

Like the way this is written
It portrays very nicely the beauty and grace of the willow

So beautiful! I love the strength of the willow tree. Amazing 🙂
Indeed an inspiring piece of writing…thanks for sharing this.
What a great poem! The willow is an inspiration. I also love the use of marshmallow. 🙂
I love this poem…l like the if I get knocked down, I’ll get up again feeling and the Willow tree as a symbol of this strength.
well pictured poem, Great! .. Let the willow tree remain as is!! 🙂
Willow trees are so beautiful. come rain or shine, they are there and, as with all trees, they are strong, silent, and guard their secrets well. You know, I read this and the message I get from it is ‘I may be battered and worn but, I’m going to be okay.”
Very deep and thought provoking.
Wonderful reflection about the power of resilience. I love willows…or all trees, for that matter.
Good correlation between the inner strength of a person as compared to the sturdy and beautiful willow tree.
